Naples

Since 2011, Naples has been experiencing a peculiar relationship between emerging Commons and local institutions. In 2012, a number of activist communities occupied some venues, claiming the right to self-organise cultural spaces. They succeed in having their ‘civic and collective urban use’ recognised. It is the beginning of a path that leads to the inclusion of “Beni Comuni” in the City Statute, the establishment of a Beni Comuni Network and the creation of a dedicated city observatory.
